Job summary

Sanctuary Care in Bromsgrove is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals for residents at Breme Residential Care Home. You will work as part of a friendly kitchen team to deliver meals in a calm, well-organised environment.

Qualifications

• Caring approach and compassion for residents.
• Teamwork and collaboration with kitchen staff.
• Clear communication with colleagues and residents.
• Food hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in catering is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering team with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Present and serve meals to a high standard for residents.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and welcoming.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support residents’ daily experience.
• Demonstrate a caring, enthusiastic approach with a genuine interest in older people.
• Show strong teamwork and willingness to assist colleagues.
• Understand safe food handling and cleaning practices.
• Willingness to obtain a food hygiene certificate if not already held.
