Overview

MAPLE VIEW SCHOOL – NEW VACANCY

Catering Assistant – 10 hours per week
Monday to Friday 11:30am to 1:30pm, term time only
£12.24 per hour

Maple View School opened in June 2020 and is an aspirational specialist school in the SENAD Group portfolio for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, aged 6 to 16 years. The school offers fully individualised and inclusive education and residential care for up to 18 pupils. The school is located close to Derby City Centre and is easily accessible by public transport.

We’re now looking to add to our all-important catering team in order to give pupils the highest standards of food, great choice and excellent hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the food preparation and service areas at all times, paying attention to the Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations.
• Clear down the dining room tables and pot washing after food service as a key requirement of this role.
• Ensure waste is removed from the catering facility and safely disposed of.
• Assist in the preparation of basic foods.
• Comply with SENAD Group and function schools policies.
• Help raise the profile of nutritious school food with the pupils and carers.
• Assist the Cook in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all meal services at the required times, and provide the young people, staff and guests with quality wholesome meals and snacks in accordance with the menu cycle.
• Respect all school rules and operational standards at all times.
