Job summary

HC-One is seeking a dedicated Chef for a part-time role (20 hours per week) in a care home kitchen. You will prepare wholesome, homemade meals aimed at meeting nutritional needs while delivering comfort and enjoyment to residents. The role requires recognised catering qualifications and strong HACCP food safety knowledge.

You will contribute to menu planning, food presentation, and creating a compassionate, team-focused kitchen environment that aligns with HC-One values.

Qualifications

• HACCP knowledge and good food safety practices.
• NVQ2 or equivalent in catering/hospitality.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate and relevant cookery qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wholesome, homemade meals in a care home kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen practice.
• Participate in menu planning and presentation to support residents’ nutrition and enjoyment.
• Work as part of a caring, team-oriented HC-One kitchen.
