Job summary

We Are Wychavon District Council is seeking a Technical Finance Officer to support capital budgets, close capital accounts and prepare government returns. The role requires collaboration with officers and a strong grasp of capital programmes.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or part-qualified, with at least 2 years in a finance role, and proficient in Excel. Part-time consideration and hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant with capital budgets and closure of accounts experience.
• Experience with Community Infrastructure Levy and VAT is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Principal Accountant with capital budgets and closure of accounts.
• Prepare government returns and maintain the capital programme.
• Provide advice to officers and collaborate with teams.
