Sterling Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Building Caretaker for Birkenhead. This is a part-time, permanent role working 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 10:00–14:00). Pay rate ranges from £12.70 to £15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

The role involves keeping residential buildings clean, safe, and well-maintained, interacting with residents, and performing basic safety checks and security tasks.

Qualifications

• Part-time role with 20 hours per week.
• Experience in building upkeep or caretaker duties preferred.
• Good communication and courteous attitude with residents.

Responsibilities

• Building Cleanliness: keep communal areas, hallways, entrances, and stairwells clean and presentable.
• Waste & Bin Management: manage bin stores and ensure proper segregation per local guidelines.
• Safety & Compliance: conduct weekly fire alarm checks and maintain compliance logs.
• Tenant Engagement: serve as a polite, approachable point of contact for residents.
• Access Control & Security: monitor perimeter and communal areas and manage access issues.
