Job summary

Pro Talent is recruiting a part-time Bookkeeping Assistant for a Chichester-based Chartered Accountants firm. The role offers 22.5 hours per week with flexible spread over 3, 4 or 5 days, perfect for balancing life and practice experience.

The position suits someone who enjoys data, has a keen eye for detail, and wants practical experience within a professional practice. Full training and modern, cloud-based systems are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisation and the ability to manage your own workload.
• A basic grasp of bookkeeping, or the willingness to learn.
• Experience with Xero, Sage, Dext or QuickBooks is a bonus, not a must.

Responsibilities

• Processing client documentation accurately, mainly on Sage.
• Matching, batching and coding.
• Applying the correct VAT treatment.
• Processing client expenses.
• Inputting and reconciling bank transactions.
• Supporting the wider team to hit client deadlines.
