Job summary

Accountancy Expertise Ltd is representing a locally based charity seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their team in Chichester, West Sussex, three days per week. The role supports the finance function across all entities, handling bookkeeping and administrative tasks for various trusts.

Ideal candidates will have UK bookkeeping background and be qualified to AAT Level 3/4, with familiarity in charity compliance, payroll and pensions accounting.

Qualifications

• UK bookkeeping experience with charity sector exposure.
• AAT Level 3/4 qualification preferred.
• Experience with payroll and pensions accounting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full and accurate financial records for the charity.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and produce budgets.
• Prepare annual accounts for legal entities and quarterly reports.
• Handle payroll and pension records and ensure compliance.
