Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. in Woking is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a part-time position to manage full bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. You will interact with clients, gather information and ensure records are up to date using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years practice experience and strong communication and organisational skills. Benefits include 23 days holiday plus BH, free parking, and study support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Accountancy Practice experience.
• Part-time role.
• AAT qualifications are beneficial.
• Technically proficient across different accounting software.
• Experienced handling deadlines and client communication.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate financial records and day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
• Completing bank reconciliations and reconciling control accounts.
• Processing purchase and sales invoices, receipts, payments and expenses.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and ensuring deadlines.
• Managing client bookkeeping records using Xero/QuickBooks/Sage.
• Assisting with preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Supporting the wider accounts team with ad hoc duties as required.
