Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a friendly team in Derby. You will manage bookkeeping and VAT requirements for multiple clients, stay organised to meet deadlines, and build positive client relationships.

The role offers flexible hours, part-time permanent status, and on-site parking. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, Sage proficiency, and VAT return experience.

Qualifications

• Must have bookkeeping experience and be able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience handling VAT returns and VAT regulations.
• Proactive, approachable and helpful attitude with clients.

Responsibilities

• Completing bookkeeping assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintaining a VAT control system to ensure returns are completed on time.
• Ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
• Managing workloads within budgets and deadlines.
• Using Sage Accounting Software to maintain accurate financial records.
• Liaising directly with clients in a professional, friendly and helpful manner.
• Working with clients both on- and off-site when required.
