Job summary

Based at Falmouth campus, a Boatbuilding Learning Support Technician will join our established team to assist lecturers in delivering Boatbuilding and Marine Technology study programmes.

You will maintain tools and equipment, prepare materials for practical sessions, and supervise student activities to ensure safe working practices on and off site. The role is part-time, 22.5 hours per week with excellent terms and conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and practical boatbuilding experience.
• General experience in boatbuilding, woodworking and wood machining industries.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tools, equipment and machinery; prepare materials for practical sessions.
• Assist lecturers in delivering Boatbuilding and Marine Technology programmes.
• Supervise student activities to ensure safe working practices; support enrichment activities.
