Job summary

The Celtic Collection at Coldra Court Hotel in Newport is seeking a part-time Bartender to deliver friendly, professional bar service andWelcoming guest experiences in a lively Food & Beverage environment. You will prepare a wide range of drinks, upsell where appropriate, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.

Role requires previous bar or hospitality experience, a positive team attitude, good communication, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Passion for customer service and creating great guest experiences
• Good knowledge of beverages and bar service, or a willingness to learn
• A positive, enthusiastic and team-focused attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy periods as required
• Basic Food Hygiene certification is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, professional and efficient bar service to guests
• Preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere in the bar and restaurant areas
• Building positive relationships with guests and colleagues
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service
• Following all health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Supporting the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Contributing to departmental targets through excellent service and upselling opportunities where appropriate
