Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a part-time Barista to join our Costa brand at locations across the UK. The role is contracted to 16 hours per week with variable shifts, delivering expertly crafted coffees and friendly service to customers.

You'll be part of a team that values progress, invests in people, and rewards initiative. You will handle payments, maintain the bar area, and learn brewing methods while upholding Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
