Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a driven Barista for a major High Street brand on a part-time basis, contracted to 30 hours per week. You will craft beverages and deliver first-class service to our customers in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasises communication, teamwork and reliability; you will learn brewing methods, manage stock, handle payments, and uphold food hygiene and health and safety standards across shift patterns (4 out of 7 days).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in customer service preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on brewing equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing a major High Street brand and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
