Job summary

Pets Corner in Wells is seeking a part-time Assistant Manager (27.5 hours, over 4 days a week) to join our family-owned store family. You will deliver exceptional customer service, lead a small team and drive sales while upholding our high standards of presentation and stock control.

The role offers ongoing training and development within a supportive, family-run business that values individuals as people, not numbers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small team in a retail environment.
• Strong focus on customer service and product recommendations.
• Willingness to train and develop staff using company curriculum.
• Ability to drive sales and performance through coaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and go the extra mile for customers.
• Recommend products and services to meet customer needs.
• Maximise sales by identifying improvements and opportunities.
• Lead, train, and develop the store team with the Pets Corner Curriculum.
• Maintain store and product presentation to high standards.
• Stay updated on pricing, promotions and merchandising.
• Perform opening/closing duties and key holding responsibilities.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stocktakes and deliveries.
