Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking an Assistant Cook to join a small catering team. You will support the delivery of a high‑quality catering service and cover for the Cook Supervisor when needed, maintaining presentation standards and customer care.

The role requires supervisory experience and an NVQ2 in Catering (or City & Guilds 706/2). A Basic Hygiene certificate is desirable. 20 hours per week, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within a commercial environment is essential.
• NVQ 2 in Catering or City & Guilds 706/2 in Catering required.
• Current Basic Hygiene certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high‑quality catering services.
• Cover for the Cook Supervisor in their absence.
