Job summary

Codi Group in Cardiff is seeking an Assistant Chef for the CODI EXTRA CARE SERVICE to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for tenants in an on-site kitchen. The role is part-time 30 hours per week, with shifts likely finishing by 3pm and alternate weekends.

You will source ingredients, follow Health & Safety standards, and help design menus that respect dietary needs. Join a not-for-profit team delivering real impact across Wales, with 26 days holiday pro rata, ongoing training, and Blue Light

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with manager, staff and tenants.
• Experience in a professional fresh-food kitchen.
• Ability to plan menus, manage stock and HACCP records.
• Understand Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create delicious, nutritious meals daily for tenants.
• Source fresh ingredients and manage kitchen stock.
• Ensure top Health & Safety standards and food safety compliance.
• Support catering team with menu planning and ordering.
• Design menus that cater to diverse cultural and dietary needs.
