Job summary

Fletcher George is representing a successful financial services business in the Dorking area seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a 20-hour per week, part-time role.

The role covers management accounts, payroll, budgeting, reporting and ad-hoc projects, reporting to the Director of Finance within a supportive finance team. AAT Level 4 or equivalent is preferred, with strong Excel and Sage 50 experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Part-Time Assistant Accountant role or similar finance position.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience; Sage 50 advantageous.
• Experience in Professional Services or Financial Services environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Produce financial reports, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Process monthly payroll and administer pensions and statutory payments.
• Maintain purchase and sales ledgers and supplier reconciliations.
• Support year-end audit requirements and VAT returns.
• Provide finance support across the business.
