Job summary

Spa Nursing Group is seeking an Activity Therapist for 20 hours per week on a temporary maternity cover basis at Iveagh House, Banbridge, delivering meaningful activities tailored to residents. You will plan group and one-to-one therapies, maintain records, build relationships with residents and families, and promote wellbeing with compassion and a person-centred approach.

NISCC registration (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and eligibility to work in the UK are required; 18+ and medical

Qualifications

• Compassion, understanding and positivity in supporting resident well-being.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to planning, adapting and evaluating activity programs.
• Experience with the client group and knowledge of suitable activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver meaningful activities and therapies tailored to resident needs.
• Develop and implement a varied activity program considering mobility, cognition and input from families/colleagues.
• Design and facilitate group and 1:1 activities to promote wellbeing and engagement.
• Keep records of resident participation and provide a calendar of events.
