Hays Accountancy & Finance is recruiting on behalf of our client for a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial management, reporting, and compliance across a range of accounting functions. Reporting to an Accounting Manager, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Your new role

1. Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reports
2. Support budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
3. Oversee capital expenditure, asset management, and depreciation
4. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities
5. Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes
6. Monitor and report on grant compliance
7. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and support audit processes
8. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making
9. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial guidance
10. Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
11. Mentor and support junior finance staff

What you'll need to succeed

1. Full membership of a recognised professional accountancy body (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
4. Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
6. A full UK driving licence or access to suitable transport
