Job summary

P+HS Architects is seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join our growing team in the UK. You will support monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, helping analyse project profitability and improve finance systems.

You will supervise two Finance staff and develop commercial acumen across the practice. Ideal candidates will have finance experience in a professional services or architecture environment, strong Excel skills, and the confidence to

Qualifications

• Part-qualified AAT with finance team exposure.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.
• Experience preparing or supporting management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills with high accuracy.
• Interest in developing commercial awareness to support business decisions.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload and coordinate others.
• Excellent communication with finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Supervisory or coaching experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in architecture, construction, engineering or professional services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and month-end adjustments.
• Provide regular management information and commentary for decision-making.
• Support year-end, audits and external information requests.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis as needed.
