Job summary

Anderson Knight is seeking a Part-Qualified Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Scotland. You will join a busy finance team handling management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support decision-making across the business.

The role involves balance sheet reconciliations, stakeholder liaison, and driving reporting efficiencies with strong Excel and finance system skills.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Experience in a management accounting or month-end focused role.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and identify trends.
• Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Produce financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and insight.
• Maintain and develop financial controls and processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and drive efficiencies in finance.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Contribute to ongoing finance projects and business initiatives.
• Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis as required.
