Job summary

Curtis Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant for an independent Oxford-based firm of accountants. The role targets candidates who are part qualified ACCA/ACA, AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with strong UK practice experience.

The successful candidate will handle statutory and management accounts, tax duties and company secretarial work, with potential to grow their own client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Part qualified ACCA/ACA, AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
• At least three years’ accounts and tax experience in a UK accountancy practice environment.
• Sound judgement and initiative to find solutions and make decisions under pressure.
• Ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
• Work well with others and be able to offer team support.

Responsibilities

• Preparation / reviewing – statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax, VAT and personal tax.
• Dealing with all company secretarial for clients.
• Setting up limited companies.
• Completing directors’ only payroll.
• As experience grows, you will manage your own client portfolio and take on further responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified ACCA/ACA, qualified AAT or an exceptional qualified by experience person. You will have significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
