Job summary

Office Angels is seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant in Sutton to gain exposure across the full project lifecycle within a collaborative, design-led practice.

This role requires a Part II qualification (exceptional Part I candidates with UK experience may be considered) and offers a structured path towards Part III and registration, with opportunities across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality projects.

Qualifications

• Part II qualification required; exceptional Part I with UK experience may be considered.
• Strong design skills and technical drawing ability.
• Working knowledge of UK planning legislation and building regulations.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp/MicroStation advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work across all RIBA project stages from initial concept through to completion.
• Produce high-quality design, planning and technical drawing packages.
• Assist with planning applications, building regulations submissions and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Attend site visits, surveys and project meetings.
• Support delivery of projects within timescales and budgets.
• Contribute to design development and technical detailing across sectors.

Part II Architectural Assistant

Are you a talented Part II Architectural Assistant looking to gain exposure across the full project lifecycle within a collaborative and design-led practice?

Location: Sutton | SW London
Salary: up to £38k
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Part II Architectural Assistant to join a well-established architectural practice delivering a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across all RIBA project stages from initial concept through to completion.
• Produce high-quality design, planning and technical drawing packages.
• Assist with planning applications, building regulations submissions and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Attend site visits, surveys and project meetings.
• Support the successful delivery of projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Contribute to design development and technical detailing across a variety of project sectors.

Requirements

• Part II qualified Architectural Assistant.
• Exceptional Part I candidates with significant UK architectural experience may also be considered.
• Strong design flair and technical drawing capability.
• Working knowledge of UK planning legislation and building regulations.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with SketchUp and/or MicroStation would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to residential, commercial, mixed-use or hospitality projects.
• Experience assisting with project coordination or running smaller projects.
• Based within a practical daily commuting distance of the Carshalton area.
