Job summary

Extension Architecture is seeking a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our planning and design team in Greater London. You will take projects from concept through to planning submission, working closely with senior designers and clients, and growing into client-facing responsibilities.

You should be Part 2 qualified (MArch or equivalent), and currently working toward Part 3, with a solid understanding of UK planning policy, strong design instincts, and confident presentation skills to

Qualifications

• Part 2 qualified (MArch or equivalent), currently working toward Part 3
• Solid understanding of UK planning policy and process
• Strong conceptual design ability
• Confident presentation skills to communicate with clients
• Must have prior UK work experience in a planning practice (mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the preparation of planning applications from concept to submission
• Develop strong design concepts in line with client briefs and planning policy requirements
• Prepare and deliver clear, professional presentations to clients and internal teams
• Liaise with local planning authorities and respond to planning queries
• Collaborate with architects, planners, and project managers across live projects
• Support and eventually lead client relationships as experience develops
