Job summary

Norwich City Services Limited is seeking a Grounds Operative 3 to maintain parks, open spaces and housing estates to contractual standards. You will perform turf management, hedge cutting and chemical spraying using commercial machinery while following a fixed schedule and safety rules.

The ideal candidate will have strong grounds maintenance knowledge, a full UK driving licence with towing entitlement, and spraying qualifications.

Qualifications

• Horticultural qualification or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence with Category B + E (towing).
• Expert knowledge and skills in the use of grounds equipment.
• Able to carry out physical work in all weathers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Norwich’s parks, open spaces and housing estates to contractual standards.
• Follow a fixed operational schedule and perform turf management, hedge cutting and chemical spraying using commercial machinery.
• Carry out mandatory pre-use equipment checks and strictly follow Health & Safety legislation.
• Address public inquiries on-site in a professional manner.
