Job summary

Essential Employment is recruiting an Estates Assistant for Manchester's parks and green spaces. The role involves hands-on inspections, maintenance support and helping ensure spaces are clean, safe, secure and welcoming for residents and visitors.

You will work closely with colleagues, community groups and park visitors, bringing strong customer service, good organisation and problem-solving skills. Training and development opportunities are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, grounds maintenance, caretaking, estates or a similar environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of parks and facilities.
• Support building and site maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to security procedures and safety practices.
