Job summary

G4S Security is seeking a Park & Ride Security Officer (Sizewell) on a part-time basis. The role involves patrols, gate control, and ensuring only authorised personnel enter Sizewell C sites.

Key duties include contractor reception, deliveries verification via DMS, and maintaining team communications. A Level 2 security qualification and SIA licence are preferred; UK right-to-work is required.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence is required.
• Ability to pass National Security Clearance Vetting.
• UK Driving Licence beneficial.
• Produce a five-year verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile and foot patrols around site fencelines.
• Act as first point of contact for contractors.
• Use the Delivery Management System to approve deliveries.
• Maintain effective communications within the security team.
• Identify breaches and report through correct channels.
• Conduct randomised searches and drug/alcohol testing.
• Operate gates and barriers safely and efficiently.
• Provide assistance to bus operations during surge periods.

Security Officers are a key member of the security team, providing frontline, customer-facing, on-the-ground security support across the Sizewell C Main Development Sites (MDS) and Off Site Infrastructure (OSI.)

This role primarily involves regular patrols, operation of gates and barriers across a variety of different site locations and ensuring that only authorised personnel are able to enter the Sizewell C sites.

20 hours per week permanent contract. The shift pattern is a weekly rotating schedule and candidates must be available for alternating early morning and late afternoon shifts.

Monday to Friday

The Security Officer will be responsible for:

• Conducting mobile and foot patrols around the site location’s fenceline
• Acting as a first point of contact for contractors coming onto the Sizewell C Main Development Sites (MDS) and Off Site Infrastructure (OSI)
• Using our Delivery Management System (DMS) to ensure deliveries are authorised to enter a specific site location and have arrived at the correct date and/or time
• Maintaining adequate and efficient communications within the security team
• Identifying breaches and discrepancies and reporting these using the correct reporting lines and procedures
• Conducting randomised searches
• Conducting drug and alcohol testing
• Safe and efficient operation of gates and barriers
• Provide assistance to bus operations during surge periods

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

• Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor or Security Guarding within the Private Security Industry or higher (not essential but part of onboarding).
