Job summary

Essex County Council has a Permanent, Part Time vacancy for a Park Operations Assistant at Great Notley Country Park in Braintree. The role involves ensuring the park is open at critical times, maintaining grounds and infrastructure, and providing a safe, welcoming environment for visitors.

14.48 hours per week on an annualised contract, with weekend shifts and a rolling rota. You will contribute to park operations, assist with facilities and grounds maintenance, and engage with customers to

Qualifications

Experience working with the public delivering excellent customer service.
Good communication skills to deliver information and advice.
Experience working within a team to support local objectives.

Responsibilities

Ensure park car park access points are open at times published and securely closed when the site is closed.
Ensure facilities including toilets, buildings and storage areas are secure and accessible as needed.
Assist with maintenance of the park and buildings (painting, signage, weeding, foliage) as required.
Ensure facilities are cleaned and maintained (toilets, litter picking, bin clearance).
Support general operational activities as required.
Carry out Health and Safety checks and complete relevant procedures and paperwork.
