Job summary

Angard Staffing is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join Parcelforce on a flexible temporary basis. You will be part of a fast-paced, hands-on team handling parcels, loading/unloading, and operating sorting equipment across shifts.

No previous experience is required, but a willingness to adapt and work as part of a team is essential. You may be lifting heavy items and standing long hours in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but beneficial in similar environments.
• Able to lift up to 30 kg and push loads up to 250 kg with assistance.
• Physically fit and able to stand long shifts on your feet.

• Load and unload parcels from trailers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be a key part of the parcel journey:

• Loading and unloading parcels from trailers
• Moving parcels through the warehouse safely and efficiently
• Operating mechanised parcel sorting equipment
• Sorting up to 40,000 items with your team during a single shift
• Ensuring every parcel – big or small – is handled with care and reaches its destination on time
• You're expected to securely handle all items in the warehouse, including handling certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome individuals from all backgrounds – no previous experience is required, but it’s a bonus if you’ve worked in similar environments.

Our ideal candidate:

• Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks
• Can lift parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance for heavier items)
• Is physically fit and able to manage long shifts on their feet
• Is motivated, reliable, and ready to work as part of a team

Tuesday/Wednesday 06:00 – 17:00

Sunday 10:00 – 17:00

The tables below outline the pay rates applicable for warehouse roles at our Parcelforce sites. The rates displayed are payable for your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

0-26 Weeks service – Shift description and pay rate:

Shift: Mon – Sat Days - Shift Description: Hours worked between 06:00 – 19:00 = Pay Rate: £13.17

Shift: Mon – Sat Nights - Shift Description: Hours worked between 19:00 – 06:00 = Pay Rate: £15.91

Shift: Bank Holiday - Shift Description: All Day = Pay Rate: £26.81
