Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a proactive Sortation Operative to unload, scan, sort and load parcels using state-of-the-art equipment in our busy hub, ensuring safe and swift journeys.

You will monitor parcel compliance, clear blockages, support KPI improvements, and liaise with team members while upholding health and safety policies.

The role offers regular shifts in a fast-paced logistics environment with opportunities for development within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and police parcel compliance in the hub to ensure items meet size and weight regulations
• Clear induct and sorter blockages promptly to maintain smooth operations
• Assist in improving hub KPIs, including throughput and accuracy metrics
• Escalate issues to management in a timely and appropriate manner
• Use effective communication to liaise with team members and other departments
• Maintain a proactive, positive attitude and adapt to new processes
• Strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies at all times
• Support hub operations as required, including assisting in other areas during peak periods
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and hazard-free during shifts
