Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring Delivery Drivers to distribute parcels and letters as part of our trusted community service. You will drive and/or walk a dedicated route, delivering with speed, care and a focus on customer service.

This temporary role offers shifts 08:00-16:00, Monday to Saturday, with a minimum of 5 days per week and a basic rate of £13.69 per hour. DBS check is required as part of the application process.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than six points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Good level of fitness for the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels and letters on a dedicated route.
• Drive and/or walk to complete deliveries efficiently.
• Sort mail/parcels at the delivery office when required.

Royal Mail deliver letters and parcels every day to people throughout the country and are relied on by communities across the UK. We are now looking for Delivery Drivers to be a part of this world-class service.

You will be responsible for delivering parcels and letters quickly and efficiently, by driving and/or walking on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service! Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office.

The role is working a minimum of 5 days a week between the days of Monday to Saturday. (Shift times may vary)

Shift time is 08:00 - 16:00

Basic pay rate - £13.69ph

As a Parcel/Letter Delivery Driver, you will need the following:

• Full UK driving licence, with no more than six points. (Subject to conditions)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Upbeat and self-motivated.
• Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather.
• Good level of fitness to meet demands of the role.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Resilience and flexibility.
