Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking Delivery Drivers in Amersham to deliver parcels and letters on a fixed route, combining driving and walking as needed. You’ll uphold service standards and customer care, with a DBS check required as part of the process.

The role operates Monday to Saturday, 08:00–16:00, with a basic pay rate of £13.69 per hour. It is temporary in nature and requires a full UK driving licence with limited points and strong fitness to cope with outdoor work.

Royal Mail deliver letters and parcels every day to people throughout the country and are relied on by communities across the UK. We are now looking for Delivery Drivers to be a part of this world-class service.

You will be responsible for delivering parcels and letters quickly and efficiently, by driving and/or walking on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service! Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office.

The role is working a minimum of 5 days a week between the days of Monday to Saturday. (Shift times may vary)

Shift time is 08:00 - 16:00

Basic pay rate - £13.69ph

Temporary

As a Parcel/Letter Delivery Driver, you will need the following:

• Full UK driving licence, with no more than six points. (Subject to conditions)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Upbeat and self-motivated.
• Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather.
• Good level of fitness to meet demands of the role.
