Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for Delivery Drivers to distribute parcels and letters on a fixed route, driving and/or walking while delivering in the community with speed and courtesy.

Applicants need a Full UK driving licence (max six points), excellent customer service, a positive, outdoors-friendly outlook, and good fitness. Shifts are generally 15:00–21:00, five days a week Monday to Saturday; DBS check is required during the application process.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than six points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Good level of fitness for delivery duties.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels and letters quickly and efficiently on a fixed route.
• Sort mail/parcels at the delivery office as needed.
• Provide friendly customer service on every interaction.
• Drive and/or walk the route as required.

We are now looking for Delivery Drivers to be a part of this world-class service. You will be responsible for delivering parcels and letters quickly and efficiently, by driving and/or walking on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service! Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office.

• The role is working a minimum of 5 days a week between the days of Monday to Saturday. (Shift times may vary) Shift time is 15:00 - 21:00 Basic pay rate - £13.69ph Temporary As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you will need the following: Full UK
  driving licence, with no more than six points. (Subject to conditions) Excellent customer service skills. Upbeat and self-motivated. Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather. Good level of fitness to meet demands of the role. Excellent organisational skills. Resilience and flexibility. Please note that a DBS check is required as part of the application process.
