Job summary

Templegate Recruitment in Leeds is seeking a Paraplanner / Trainee Adviser to join a small, friendly financial services firm. The role is office-based in Leeds, offering a clear path toward becoming a Financial Adviser while maintaining paraplanning responsibilities.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and has paraplanner experience within financial services, with strong technical knowledge and client-facing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is required.
• Previous paraplanner experience in financial services is essential.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and investment products.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality paraplanning support to the Adviser and wider team.
• Prepare suitability reports, financial analysis and recommendations.
• Assist with pension, investment and protection-related cases.
• Support the Adviser with the management and servicing of an established client bank.
• Assist with new business processing and ongoing client reviews.
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
• Liaise with product providers and other third parties.
• Ensure all client documentation is accurate, compliant and completed within agreed timescales.
• Take on increasing responsibility for client relationships as experience develops.
• Work towards progressing into a Trainee Adviser position.
• Develop the skills and experience required to eventually provide regulated financial advice.
