Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is hiring two Paraplanners for our Leeds office. The role is hybrid, with two days per week in Leeds and three from home, to support Financial Planners with high-quality research and suitability preparation.

We seek career paraplanners with 2–3 years’ experience and a Level 4 CII or LIBF qualification (or studying). You will manage client information, perform research, and ensure regulatory compliance and timely delivery of reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' paraplanning experience.
• Level 4 CII or LIBF qualification, or currently studying towards the qualification for the junior position
• Experience preparing suitability reports and undertaking technical research
• Strong understanding of clients' financial positions and fact finds
• Experience undertaking comparative research to support suitable recommendations
• Knowledge of Retail Investment Products
• Understanding of FCA and other relevant financial services regulations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work to deadlines and agreed KPIs
• Strong communication skills
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career as a Paraplanner rather than an immediate move into a Financial Adviser role

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Financial Planners in the provision and review of suitable investment propositions
• Discuss client objectives with the relevant Financial Planner, identifying and obtaining the necessary client information to prepare suitability checks
• Understand clients' overall financial position from fact finds
• Maintain high standards of information analysis and undertake comparative research to make suitable recommendations in line with identified client needs
• Accurately prepare suitability reports to target deadlines
• Undertake periodic reviews of existing client portfolios using appropriate software
• Complete technical research as part of the existing arrangement review process
• Maintain a working knowledge of Retail Investment Products
• Liaise competently with Product Providers
• Ensure all client queries are appropriately investigated and accurate responses are provided
• Ensure full compliance with FCA and other regulations, FSMA and the Consumer Duty, including fair treatment of clients, suitability of advice and protection of clients' assets
• Complete cashflow modelling
• Identify opportunities and skills gaps and increase knowledge through appropriate training
• Maintain awareness of relevant trends in the private client wealth management sector and financial services as a whole
• Develop and follow through on policy changes arising from insights gained
• Participate in and contribute to Paraplanner meetings and client meetings where appropriate
• Ensure accuracy when using appropriate systems and controls and adhere to agreed KPIs
