Job summary

A reputable financial services firm in Preston is seeking a Paraplanner to support their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in writing suitability reports. This role offers a competitive salary range of £30K to £35K, alongside excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, flexible hours, and medical cover. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, with an emphasis on providing tailored services to clients. This is an onsite role with free parking.

Qualifications

• Must have worked in Financial Services industry for the last 2 years.
• Competent knowledge of financial services products required.
• Good communication skills and organized.

Responsibilities

• Produce professional suitability reports.
• Tailor suitability letters for individual clients.
• Prepare files for meetings and manage existing business administration.
• Conduct product and fund research.
• Assist during busy periods in a team environment.
• Submit new business applications and produce quotations.
• Communicate with providers and clients.
• Chase outstanding pipeline cases.
• Follow up on outstanding fees.

Experience using Intelligent Office

Our client is a small but very reputable IFA practice in Preston that have been established for many years and have an exceptional client base. The offices are lovely, and you’d be working with some really great people, the Directors really look after their staff and reward generously.

The ideal person will need to have worked within the Financial Services industry and as a Paraplanner for the last 2 years and have a working and competent knowledge of financial services products. You will have good communication skills, be organised, happy to take responsibility for your own work and be able to work to deadlines. You must have had experience of writing suitability reports.

If not already qualified to diploma level, should be ideally be part qualified or keen to progress further.

Responsibilities

• Produce professional suitability reports
• Tailoring suitability letters to individual clients

• Provide specific product, provider and fund research
• Assisting administrators during busy periods and working in a team environment.
• Submit new business applications and produce quotations

Main Skills

• Experience using Intelligent Office and Selectapension would be an advantage
• Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Paraplanner
• Experience of writing suitability reports is essential
• Good knowledge of financial products – particularly pensions and investments
• Excellent attention to detail
• Well organised and efficient
