Job summary

RGH Group in Liverpool seeks an experienced Paraplanner to support Financial Planners with technical research, detailed suitability reports and robust analysis. You will work within a professional financial planning environment, collaborating across pensions, investments, retirement, and estate planning to deliver high-quality client recommendations.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent, with progression towards Chartered qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a regulated financial planning environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and wider financial planning.
• Experience producing suitability reports and technical research.

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a role where your expertise can genuinely influence the quality of financial planning advice? This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional financial planning environment where you'll work closely with Financial Planners and Paraplanners, providing the technical expertise behind high-quality, client-focused recommendations.

The Role

You'll play a key part in developing and delivering sophisticated financial planning solutions, working across areas including pensions, investments, retirement, protection, taxation and estate planning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing complex client circumstances and identifying planning opportunities.
• Conducting detailed technical research and product analysis.
• Preparing accurate, clear and compliant suitability reports.
• Supporting advisers throughout the advice and implementation process.
• Using cashflow modelling, risk profiling and research tools.
• Keeping up to date with regulatory, legislative and taxation changes.
• Providing technical guidance and helping maintain high standards across the advice team.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a regulated financial planning environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and wider financial planning.
• Experience producing suitability reports and technical research.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
• A highly organised and detail-focused approach.
• The confidence to challenge assumptions and identify potential risks.
• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.

Progression towards Chartered or other advanced financial planning qualifications would be advantageous.
