My client is currently looking for a Paraplanner to join their business in Blackpool.
- Undertake paraplanning activity for the Planners on the team and in exceptional circumstances, provide support to the wider paraplanning team
- Undertake appropriate, accurate and relevant research, based on the information gathered by the Planner, known information for clients in the on-going advice service and existing products/services the client has, to enable a suitable solution to be recommended to meet the client's needs and objectives with a good outcome
- Undertake accurate calculations and cash-flow modelling where needed to support recommendations
- Prepare suitability reports and letters for the Planners to provide their recommendation based on our knowledge of the client, their documented needs, objectives, risk profile, to support a good client outcome, adapting your approach for clients in vulnerable circumstances
- Ensure that drafted suitability reports and other communications are clear, fair and not misleading
- Draft and co-ordinate technical documents and research for client presentation
- When undertaking research or preparing suitability reports proactively identify areas of potential future advice and raise with the Planner for them to discuss with the client
- Prepare and submit new account paperwork for client onboarding
- Arrange client meetings, valuations, meeting packs and manage the Wealth Planners diaries
- Complete any required post meeting actions and minutes
- Be a first contact point for clients to handle general queries, escalating complex queries to the Planner, adapting your approach for clients in vulnerable circumstances
- Prepare letters of authority for signing
- Prepare client application forms in line with suitability report recommendations, ensuring they are actioned when returned by the client within business agreed timeframes and with accuracy
- Deal with finance queries including invoices, billing, WIP, commissions, etc.
Experience needed
- Previous experienced in a Paraplanner or Trainee Paraplanner role
- Commitment to achieve RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning within reasonable timeframe, with subsequent commitment to achieve Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and CII Chartered status (level 6)
