Job summary

Search in Harrogate is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join its financial planning team, supporting advisers and clients across retirement planning, investments, and protection. You will produce high-quality suitability reports, conduct detailed research, and help deliver compliant recommendations while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent client service.

Hybrid working is available (2-3 days from home).

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment.
• Strong report-writing and technical research skills.
• Good knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection products.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong paraplanning experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high standards of client service.

An established and growing financial planning practice in the Harrogate area is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its team. The business supports clients across retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, investments, and personal protection, delivering high-quality financial planning advice and excellent client outcomes.

This is an opportunity to work closely with financial advisers and clients, playing a key role in the delivery of comprehensive financial planning solutions.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide technical support throughout the advice process, conducting detailed research, analysing client circumstances, and producing high-quality suitability reports and recommendations.

You will work across the full client journey, liaising with advisers, administrators, and clients to ensure recommendations are accurately researched, documented, and implemented.
