Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is recruiting a Paraplanner for a growing wealth management firm in Wakefield. Hybrid working after probation, salary between 36,000 and 42,000, DOE.

You will work closely with Financial Planners, produce client suitability reports, and develop technical knowledge with opportunities in investment research and proposition development. Requirements include the RQF Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent), experience in paraplanning or technical support, and

Qualifications

• Hold, or be working towards, the RQF Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Paraplanning or technical support role within financial services.
• Strong report writing and research capabilities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Positive, proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop technical knowledge and industry expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Financial Planners to formulate client recommendations and support the advice process.
• Prepare compliant suitability reports and annual review documentation.
• Conduct research on investment, pension and withdrawal strategies to assess suitability.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within the firm's CRM system.
• Act as a key point of contact for advisers, providing progress updates on cases.
• Support the maintenance of centrally held research and investment proposition materials.
• Liaise with administration and client services teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Assist with team training and knowledge sharing where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection, Financial Crime and regulatory requirements.

An established and growing wealth management firm is looking to appoint a Paraplanner to join its expanding technical support team.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Financial Planners, providing high-quality technical support and producing client suitability reports. In addition to core paraplanning responsibilities, there is scope to become involved with investment research and proposition development, as well as longer-term progression opportunities for those looking to advance within financial planning.
