Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced paraplanner for a Chartered Independent Financial Advisers in Chester. The role involves preparing financial analyses, supporting advisers, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have prior experience in an IFA environment, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare analysis of clients' existing portfolios.
  • Provide technical support to advisers.
  • Complete calculations related to financial advice.
  • Research and formulate appropriate advice.
  • Prepare recommendation reports and supplementary documentation.
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and high standards of client service.
  • Liaise with product providers, account managers and clients.
  • Develop knowledge of financial products and markets to meet regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are recruiting an experienced, high calibre paraplanner to work closely with our client, a team of Chartered financial advisers to design, develop, and implement comprehensive financial plans that exceed their clients expectations.
Our client is a Chartered Independent Financial advisers based in Hoole, Chester. Their mission is to provide financial guidance and support that helps their clients achieve their goals.
As a Chartered IFA, they actively encourage and fully support all of their colleagues in their
professional development and will fund study material and examination costs to support CII

Learning pathways.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing analysis of clients existing portfolio
  • Provision of technical support to Advisers
  • Completing calculations (i.e., income tax, IHT, Capital Gains Tax, Lifetime Allowance, Pension Annual Allowance, Carry Forward, Chargeable Gains, Cashflow Modelling etc.)
  • Working closely with the Adviser to research and formulate appropriate advice
  • Preparation of Recommendation Reports and supplementary documentation
  • Adherence to compliance procedures, core values and high standards of client service
  • Regular liaison with product providers, account managers and clients
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of financial products and markets to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs

Experience of IO (Intelliflo) back-office system would be an advantage, together with experience of some, or all, of the following platforms:

  • MiCap
  • Investment Platforms; Abrdn, Aviva & Aegon

The ideal candidate will have several years of paraplanning experience, RO qualifications would be preferred but not essential if experience can be evidenced.
