Job summary

A leading financial planning firm in Northern Ireland is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team. This role involves supporting Financial Planners in delivering bespoke advice, preparing financial plans, and participating in client meetings. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in financial planning and strong technical knowledge of financial products. Competitive salary and hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Paraplanner role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial planning products and platforms.
  • Desire to achieve Chartered status and ongoing CPD compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial planning software (e.g. Voyant, Intelliflo)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and confident with complex financial data
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage own workload, prioritise effectively, and work independently
  • Desire to achieve Chartered status and ongoing CPD compliance

Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Planners with all aspects of client servicing.
  • Attend client meetings and assist with technical queries.
  • Prepare draft net worth statements and financial plans.
  • Prepare draft net worth statements, cash flow forecasts, and financial plans
  • Conduct product research, platform analysis, and technical due diligence
  • Write clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports
  • Liaise with providers and client advisers (legal/tax) as needed
  • Support implementation of recommendations and assist in annual reviews
  • Stay up to date with regulatory and market changes
  • Participate in internal investment committee meetings and team collaboration
