Job summary

CAP Resourcing LTD is partnering with a leading structural engineering practice in London to recruit an experienced Structural BIM Technician focused on computational and parametric design.

You will work with Rhino and Grasshopper, developing workflows and ensuring Rhino/Grasshopper–Revit interoperability to deliver buildable, coordinated models.

This role suits engineers who enjoy solving complex geometry problems and delivering innovative BIM solutions in a hybrid London setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper.
• Strong Revit Structure capability and a solid understanding of structural BIM.
• Demonstrable experience developing Grasshopper/Rhino-to-Revit workflows.
• Strong knowledge of complex 3D geometry, including curved, faceted, freeform and non-standard forms.
• Experience with parametric modelling and computational design methodologies.
• An understanding of geometry rationalisation and how complex forms can be translated into practical structural elements.
• Experience working with large and/or complex Revit models.
• A good understanding of BIM coordination, model management and BEP requirements.
• The ability to communicate effectively with structural engineers and design teams and turn computational concepts into practical project solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop parametric workflows and reliable interoperability between Rhino/Grasshopper and Revit.
• Translate computational geometry into coordinated, buildable Revit elements.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and BIM teams on complex geometry.
• Manage large and complex Revit models and ensure BEP alignment.
