Job summary

Arcadis in London is seeking a highly capable Computational Designer to join our data-driven design team. This role focuses on developing and applying advanced computational workflows across architecture, urban design, planning and engineering projects.

You will build models, integrate GIS/BIM, and translate design intent into efficient digital solutions while collaborating with clients and colleagues. A strong portfolio and Rhino/Grasshopper expertise with Python scripting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Computational Design, Interactive Media Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Urban Design, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or Architecture.
• Portfolio showcasing parametric modeling and complex workflows.
• Strong Rhino and Grasshopper skills; Python scripting to extend Grasshopper capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build computational models for various projects.
• Build, maintain and improve computational workflows and products.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and develop strategies.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly in verbal and graphical form.
• Create presentation and report materials to support projects.
