Job summary

The University of Plymouth is seeking a Lecturer in Paramedic Science to deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The role includes contributing to research-informed teaching, student support, and collaboration with interprofessional teams within the School of Health Professions.

We require a registered Paramedic with HCPC registration and evidence of clinical/academic experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Paramedic with HCPC registration and clinical/academic experience.
• Strong understanding of paramedic practice and evolving role within healthcare.
• Commitment to high-quality education, inclusive practice and student-centered learning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
• Maintenance of HCPC registration (or relevant equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Paramedic programmes.
• Provide academic guidance, feedback and pastoral support to students.
• Contribute to curriculum design, assessment and programme quality assurance.
• Engage in research, scholarship or professional practice that enhances teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clinical partners to support interprofessional learning.
