Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a qualified Paramedic to join the Unscheduled Care team at HMP Bullingdon in Bicester. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a schedule that includes 5 nights every 4 weeks and a mix of shifts across Monday to Sunday, including every other weekend.

You will provide emergency and non-judgemental care within a prison environment. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered with 3 years post-registration ambulance experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Paramedic with HCPC registration.
• 3 years post-registration experience in ambulance services.
• Experience in Accident & Emergency or Primary Care environments valued.
• Experience in hospital, community or prison environments ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based healthcare to patients, focusing on emergency and unplanned care for primary and acute needs.
• Coordinate daily shift operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Provide compassionate, non-judgemental care, fostering therapeutic relationships and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Engage in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care per policies and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should be a qualified Paramedic with HCPC registration and have a proven 3 years of post-registration experience in ambulance services. Experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or dealing with minor injuries/illness is valued. While experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is ideal, it is not essential. What is crucial is your commitment to providing patient-centred care with a non-judgemental and compassionate approach.
