A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham seeks a specialist paramedic to deliver advanced clinical services for minor injuries and illnesses. The role emphasizes autonomously assessing patients, educating service users, and promoting self-care, all within a supportive team environment. Ideal candidates will possess HCPC registration and relevant qualifications for effective patient care.
To assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or signpost patients/service users to attend surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions relating to minor illness or minor injury.
The post holder will use advanced clinical skills to provide education to service users, promoting self-care and empowering them to make informed choices about their treatment.
They will work closely with the On-Call doctor to assist with emergencies and home visits on the day.
The main duties of this role include carrying out telephone and face-to-face consultations. Home visits are added to the clinical list once all consultations have been completed.
The post holder will have appointments linked to minor illness or minor injury.

The role will provide a specialist paramedic resource for healthcare professionals and service users of The Oaks Medical Centre.
The role involves working as an autonomous, accountable paramedic, providing a holistic approach for individuals, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver quality patient services.
The post holder will use advanced clinical skills to educate patients and service users, promoting self-care and empowering them to make informed choices about their treatment.
The post holder will assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or signpost patients and/or service users attending the surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions related to minor illness or injury, both in surgery and in-home settings. They will coordinate telephone triage, taking clinical responsibility for all patients requesting urgent appointments.
The post holder will perform other clinical and administrative duties as trained and deemed safe by the organization, including assisting with medical reports, safeguarding, and clinic support.
The post holder will be fully supervised by the On-call GP daily.
