Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Paramedic for its Unscheduled care team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B prison in West London. The role offers 3/4 days per week with 7.30am–7.45pm shifts and may include night work.

A full-time salary up to £55,086 is advertised, with a strong induction and development support. The team provides 24-hour coverage in a secure environment, with opportunities for regional and national career progression, and access to bespoke learning systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified Paramedic with professional registration.
• Post-registration ambulance experience is essential.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Non-judgemental and compassionate approach.
• Experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care or Minor injuries/illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based care focused on emergencies and unplanned care.
• Deliver non-judgemental care and maintain professional boundaries.
• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Shift coordination including managing last-minute cover.
• May include triage as part of duties.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £55,086

What you'll be doing

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
• Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
• Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.
• Shift coordination - i.e. managing last minute cover.
• May also include triage.

• Qualified Paramedic
• Current professional registration (HCPC)
