Job summary

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is seeking a Paralegal to join the Sensitive and Complex Casework Team (SCCT) in London. You will help progress high-profile, sensitive fitness to practise cases, supporting lawyers and case presenters with planning, statements, and investigative tasks.

Working within a collaborative team, you’ll ensure timely case progression, manage risks, and maintain professional standards.

Qualifications

• Strong regulatory foundation and sound judgement.
• Ability to analyse complex and sensitive information with accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support lawyers by progressing complex cases and managing interim order risk.
• Plan cases, take witness statements, and draft reports or instructions for case presenters.
• Contribute to public protection and the quality of regulatory decision-making.
