AJ Chambers are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Residential Paralegal to join a top legal 500 law firm. As a Residential Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting the Residential Property Department with a range of tasks, including conducting property searches, drafting contracts, liaising with clients, and assisting with the completion of property transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct property searches, including Land Registry and local authority searches
  • Draft contracts and other legal documents
  • Liaise with clients and third-party professionals, such as surveyors and mortgage lenders
  • Manage case files, including preparing completion statements and dealing with post-completion matters
  • Assist with the completion of property transactions, including dealing with Stamp Duty Land Tax and Land Registry registration
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Residential Paralegal
  • Strong knowledge of residential property transactions and relevant legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
